The crafts that are on this page are just a few things I thought you and your family might enjoy. They can be a lot of fun to make, and of course the kids love to help when it comes to a craft project.  So have fun with them.

Please if you have any suggestions email them to me and I might be able to use them. I'm looking for fun and easy things for all to enjoy.

Hot Apple Cider

1/2 gallon of apple cider
4 3" cinn. sticks
1 dash of nutmeg
1 dash of cinn.
2 dashes of all spice
10 to 15 cloves.

Put all the ingredient into a pot and simmer
Serve hot.

To keep hot during a party I use my crock pot.

Recipe 4 Dust Pan Cookies & Poem

This makes a cute "all purpose, any occasion" gift.
You can adapt it to any holiday you want.

You need a new clean dustpan, and
one batch of your favorite cookies.

Crumble some of the cookies up. Put the cookies on the dustpan with the crumbled up cookies on the top of the whole cookies. (so it looks like you are only giving crumbs.) Wrap tightly with saran wrap and tie with a pretty bow. (remember presentation is everything.)
Attach the poem from below.

POEM

I was in a hurry,
'cuz time was running out.
I'd baked a batch of cookies for you,
and when I turned about,
I saw they'd fallen on the floor.
It made me want to shout!
How could this happen at this time,
When time was running out.
I couldn't throw them in the trash.
Whatever could I do!
I quickly swept them in this pan,
and rushed them off to you.

( You can decorate the dust pan to make it even more personal.
Write their name on it, add stickers, etc...)
Have fun with it!

  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

Include a decorative tag with instructions for making the brownies:

Recipe for: Friendship Brownies
From: Luv's Creations

In a bowl beat together

  • 3 Eggs
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Add Brownie mix to wet ingredients and stir until mixed.   Pour into a greased 9x9 baking pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 34 - 38 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

How to make the tag:

  • Take a recipe card,  index card,  colored paper, and fold in half.
  • Decorate the front of the card using a rubber stamp or photo of your choice. You can personalize your tags. ex...
  • Punch a whole in the top left hand corner so you can string a ribbon through to tie your tag onto the jar.
  • Use fabric to decorate the lid to the jar.
  • On the inside of the tag add the instructions on how to make the brownies.
  • On the back of the tag include the "Dry Ingredients" so they too can pass along the "Friendship Brownie Recipe".

Remember this is something the kids can help you do to keep them busy! Have fun with it!

Recipe 4 Friendship/Love Poem

Take a small box and gift wrap it.
You don't have to put anything in it,
but be sure to add this poem to it:)

POEM

"This is a very special gift
that you can never see.
The reason it's so special is
it comes to you from me.

Whenever you are lonely
or even feeling blue,
you only have to hold this gift
and know I think of you.

You never can unwrap it,
please keep the ribbon tied,
just hold the box up to your heart:
it's filled with love inside."

Recipe 4 Teacher Verses

I like to print these up on decorative paper, in a fancy font,
and cut them out in a heart, book or graduation cap shapes.
They're also great for framing.
Use your imagination!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Teachers inspire dreams,
shape lives, and give us hope for the future.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A teacher gives,
A teacher shares,
But most of all,
A teacher cares.
A teacher takes a hand,
Opens a mind,
and touches a heart.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Teachers plant seeds
That grow forever!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My teacher, my friend,
inspiration without end.
You opened my mind,
and inspired my dreams.

Candles

Candles make great gifts!
And everyone loves candles.

You can make up a gift baskets
with bath & body soaps, gels, shampoo's, ex...
Just add a candle or two into the basket
and maybe even the votive cup to burn the candle in.

Here are two nice poem you can use to go
along with the candles you are giving as a gift.

POEM

The Candle

A Candle's but a simple thing,
it starts with just a bit of string.
Yet dipped and dipped with patient hand,
it gathers wax upon the strand
until, complete and snowy white,
it gives at last a lovely light.

Life is so like that bit of string,
each deed we do a simple thing,
yet day by day if on lifes strand
we work with patient heart and hand
it gathers joy, makes dark days bright,
and gives at last a lovely light.

On Christmas Eve let the kids sprinkle the Reindeer Food
all over the yard.

POEM

Make a wish and close your eyes tight,

How to make a "Snow Man Poop" stocking.

Take a plastic sandwich bag
Small marshmallows
and a stocking.

Take a hand full of marshmallows and put them in the
plastic sandwich bag, tie the bag closed.
Place the bag in the stocking with the below poem.

You now have a "Snow Man Poop" stocking
to give as a gag gift to someone.

Snow Man Poop Poem

Santa checked his list,
He even checked it twice.

He found out that you haven't
been very nice.

Since coal is expensive,
here is the scoop;

Santa filled your stocking with
Snow Man POOP!!!

Merry Christmas!

(You can also make "Reindeer Poop")
Just change the above poem around to say "Reindeer Poop"
Instead of "Snow Man Poop".

Instead of using marshmallows, use...
Chocolate Covered Raisins
Hershey Kisses
Malted Milk Balls, etc...

Angel Dust

Put iridescent glitter (you can find the glitter in any craft store.) into a small zip lock bag with the poem below and use a small angel rubber stamp for an accent with the poem below.

POEM

Within this little bag
Placed with loving care,
Is special angel dust
My Guardian placed there.
It is to share with special friends
When they're down or feeling blue,
To lift their heart and share a smile
As special friends should do.
